The communities of Walsall will provide the foundation on which the regeneration
of Walsall is built. Engaging, inspiring and encouraging involvement in Walsall's
transformation is critical to the long term future of the borough.
There are lots of things to celebrate in Walsall – our culture, heritage, identities,
green spaces and friendly neighbours. That is why local people, local businesses
and local organisations have come together to launch the We are Walsall campaign.
We are Walsall will celebrate the best of local heritage and culture and encourage tolerance
and respect across the Borough. Supported by the Walsall Borough Strategic Partnership
it will promote Walsall as a good place to live, work and do business.
Engaging young people and ethnic minorities in Walsall forms a key part of the
regeneration strategy. This improves skills, encourages and develops hard to reach
young people, and assists businesses with start up, growth and development. This,
in turn, boosts the economy and growth of the borough working alongside the dynamic
economic regeneration underway in the borough.
