The University of Wolverhampton is a dynamic and thriving university with over 23,000 students and established links with local businesses. The university offers advice and support for business start ups including a business consultancy, office space and training and advice on intellectual property.
 
The University is active in supporting the wider community and has a dedicated Competitiveness Centre that works to create sustainable communities across the West Midlands.

The Competitiveness Centre includes a Centre for Regeneration Excellence (CORE) that supports regeneration activity by providing training and development, practice based research and evaluation, conferences, seminars and workshops.
 
The university also has a Policy Research Institute which provides high quality social research to shape policy and practice at all levels of government.
