New Deal For Communities (NDC) is a national programme set up to tackle issues in the most deprived communities. NDC aims to make a real difference to people's lives by involving the community in developing new initiatives to reduce deprivation.  

 

Walsall's New Deal For Communities partnership targets five key areas of need that include:-

 

-Poor job prospects

-High levels of crime

-Educational under achievement

-Poor health

-Housing and physical environment problems

 

To achieve these objectives Walsall's NDC has a grant of £52m over 10 years 

Walsall's NDC supports local enterprise, education and training and encourages lifestyle changes to promote longer healthier living in a safer stronger community
