Education Walsall is an organisation that works in partnership with Walsall council to manage education services in the region. Primarily owned by Serco Ltd a private company, Education Walsall has implemented a range of school improvements and raised standards in education across Walsall.

 

Before the creation of Education Walsall the region suffered from poor results and failing schools but through strong management and a range of measures, there has been a dramatic turnaround in the quality of Education in Walsall.

 

In October 2004 the national educational inspectorate Ofsted stated that there had been “spectacular improvements” and that Walsall had witnessed one of the fastest ever improvements in educational services.
