Launched in 2005, Work on the Horizon is the dedicated ‘one stop’ training and employment initiative serving the local
residents and businesses of the Walsall New Deal for Communities area covering Bloxwich East, Blakenall and Leamore.
Work on the Horizon can offer local small and medium enterprises** a FREE package of support and
financial help when looking to take on new staff, tailored to meet your specific
needs, including:
- Up to £1300 in wage subsidies for each eligible new employee
- Advertising your job vacancies to local jobseekers
- Help with training costs for new employees
- Providing interview facilities if needed
- Customised pre-recruitment and employability training packages may also be available
Plus, each new employee you recruit could also receive initial help with work-related
costs such as equipment, clothing, childcare and transport
