We are able to provide you with advice and information if you are considering submitting a development proposal. We welcome and encourage discussions before you submit your application. We acknowledge the advantages of providing good quality advice to developers and their agents prior to the formal submission of a planning application in order to help speed up the development process and avoid unacceptable proposals.

This is a ‘one stop shop service’ for pre-application advice for which the council
has received many appreciative comments from developers and their agents. The
service enables larger schemes to receive comments and advice on applications
from all professional areas prior to submission of the application. The service
believes in keeping people informed and has processes in place that enable customers
to receive the personal support from appropriate professional officers when contacting
the service in person, by phone or by electronic means.
