One of the main sources of information on funding is provided by Business Link Black Country, the government business support organisation. Business Link has a searchable Grants and Support Directory (GSD). This is a database of national and regional grants and financial support services and includes advice on how to apply for funding.
 
Another source of grant information is Advantage West Midlands, the regional development agency for Walsall and the West Midlands. Advantage West Midlands administer a grant programme called the Selective Finance Initiative (SFI). This is available to businesses of all sizes and business sectors based in Walsall and provides a contribution towards private capital expenditure. The grant is normally paid in instalments and aims to improve productivity, skills and employment in the borough.
