Walsall Regeneration Company (WRC) was formed in 2004 to create an exciting new
vision for Walsall through a program of ambitious redevelopment. The WRC aims
to attract more than £755 million in public and private sector investment by 2015
and will create more than 5,550 new jobs in the area.
Current WRC projects include:
- A £180 million mixed use redevelopment of the Canal Side and Town Wharf areas of Walsall.
- The creation of prime office space at sites at the Littleton Street/Blue Lane corridor
- New logistics and distribution centres on a site straddling the M6
- A new ASDA ‘superstore’ is set to open in Walsall that incorporates ‘city living’ apartment schemes and ground floor shopping.
- New gallery square, a home to the creative industries and the renowned New Art Gallery.
- High quality residential clusters between Wolverhampton Road, Reedswood and Leamore.
- A new Business, Learning & Retail Campus incorporating Walsall College and Tesco.
- A major redevelopment of the Bradford Place & Station Street areas of the town.
