Jessup Meet the Buyer Event
Supported by Think Walsall
Walsall College, Littleton Street West, Walsall, WS2 8ES
Wednesday 23 December 2009 (08:00 – 13:00)
Jessup are about to commence the first phase of the £55 million Waterfront South
canal-side development within the centre of Walsall. Supported by The Think Walsall
Team, Jessup are to hold a ‘Meet the Buyer Event’, where opportunities for local
suppliers and sub-contractors to participate in this exciting new venture will
be discussed.
Jessup have an established policy of using local suppliers and specialist sub-contractors
to help support the local economy. The aim of the ‘Meet the Buyer’ Event is to
bring together the developer of Waterfront South (Jessup) with key local businesses.
Jessup seek to meet with representatives who could form part of the local supply
chain in terms of materials and workforce. The event will provide local businesses
with the opportunity to meet with Jessup in order to showcase what they can offer.
Who are Jessup looking for?
Please check the tables at the bottom of this page which detail the types of
sub-contractors as well as materials and apparatus required by Jessup for the
Waterfront South development.
If your business is able to provide any of the services or materials as detailed
in the tables below then Jessup are keen to hear from you.
What’s in it for me?
This event will enable your business to hear first hand from Jessup about their
procurement policy, buying cycles, how they source goods and services and ultimately
how to become a potential supplier to Jessup throughout the construction of Waterfront
South. Ultimately you as a potential supplier will benefit through the opportunity
to introduce your company and unique selling points direct to the developer.
The event will also provide you with an excellent networking opportunity as well
as enabling you to discover a potential new market by serving the Waterfront South
Development.
What’s in it for Jessup?
This event will be mutually beneficial to both local businesses and Jessup. The
developers will benefit by meeting suppliers on a one-to-one basis in order to
increase their knowledge of what’s available locally, sourcing new suppliers for
the Waterfront South Development and being able to benchmark against existing
ones.
What do I need to do next?
If you’re interested in attending the Meet the Buyer Event and are able to provide
any of the services or materials detailed below then please confirm your attendance
by completing the registration and booking form. The form is available to download
and print to be returned by post to the ‘Think Walsall’ Team. Alternatively, you
can complete an electronic version which can be submitted directly, via email,
to the ‘Think Walsall’ Team.
When we receive your completed booking form we will arrange an appointment for
you to meet with either the buyer or our Enterprise and Business Support Team.
