One of the services offered by the Walsall Borough Strategic Partnership is the
Shared Partnership Information Resource (SPIR) which provides a knowledge bank
used across the partnership and accessible to businesses and the general public.
The SPIR is a team of researchers who collate and analyse key data on crime, education,
healthcare and society. The SPIR use this information to produce reports and strategic documents that are shared
across the partner organisations including Primary Care Trusts, The Safer Walsall Partnership and Education Walsall.
SPIR reports are used to inform social policy, target setting and performance management.
The SPIR gives local communities detailed information on their own neighbourhoods and
can be used to identify the best sites for regeneration and investment.
