Welcome to Darlaston Town Centre Partnership
Working in partnership with the people of Darlaston
Darlaston Town Centre Partnership works alongside Walsall Council's District
Centre Management Team, local businesses, community groups and public sector organisations
with the common aim of improving the prosperity and vitality of Darlaston town
centre.
The partnership is active in five key areas:
Partnership development and business support: developing the partnership to enable
it to deliver and support a range of projects to improve the vitality and viability
of Darlaston.
- Partnership Development and Business Support: developing the partnership to enable it to deliver and support a range of projects to improve the vitality and viability of Aldridge.
- Environment: establishing and maintaining a high quality, attractive environment for all who shop, work, visit or live in the town centre.
- Security: establishing a safe and secure town centre environment for shoppers as well as business and property owners.
- Events and Marketing: promoting the town centre to shoppers, visitors and potential investors and developing a positive image.
- Regeneration: improving the business mix and regeneration in the town centre by encouraging new development and investment.
Becoming a member
Membership is open to anyone who supports the aims and objectives of the partnership,
in particular businesses in the town centre, landlords and local community organisations.
Representatives of Walsall Council, West Midlands Police and West Midlands Fire
Service are also actively engaged with the partnership.

2010 Priorities
Darlaston Town Centre Partnership is engaged in a number of high profile projects
this year:
- Darlaston Town Centre Partnership Ltd: Darlaston Town Centre Partnership is in the process of becoming a Company Limited by Guarantee. This makes the partnership much more independent and sustainable.
- Britain in Bloom: Darlaston is entering Heart of England in Bloom for the first time. The partnership supports a range of environmental initiatives including litter picks and clean ups, reducing the impact of fly tipping and graffiti and improvements to Darlaston's King Street including the provision of extra summer planters.
- Special Events Programme: The partnership organises events and activities throughout the year working with community groups and the Darlaston Events committee. The programme of events culminate with a two day Christmas event in December.
- Darlaston Shopping Guide: The first Darlaston Shopping Guide is being produced in May 2010 and will be distributed to 10 000 local homes and businesses to highlight the excellent range of shops and services available in Darlaston Town Centre.
