Welcome to Brownhills Town Centre Partnership

 

Working in partnership with the people of Brownhills

 
Brownhills Town Centre Partnership works alongside Walsall Council's District Centre Management Team and local businesses, community groups and public sector organisations with the common aim of improving the prosperity and vitality of Brownhills town centre.
 

The partnership is active in five key areas:

 
  • Partnership Development and Business Support: developing the partnership to enable it to deliver and support a range of projects to improve the vitality and viability of Brownhills.
  • Environment: establishing and maintaining a high quality, attractive environment for all who shop, work, visit or live in the town centre.
  • Security: establishing a safe and secure town centre environment for shoppers as well as business and property owners.
  • Events and Marketing: promoting the town centre to shoppers, visitors and potential investors and developing a positive image.
  • Regeneration: improving the business mix and regeneration in the town centre by encouraging new development and investment.

Becoming a member


Membership is open to anyone who supports the aims and objectives of the partnership, in particular businesses in the town centre, landlords and local community organisations. Representatives of Walsall Council, West Midlands Police and West Midlands Fire Service are also actively engaged with the partnership.

2010 Priorities


Brownhills Town Centre Partnership is engaged in a number of high profile projects this year:
 
  • Environmental Improvements: the partnership supports a range of environmental initiatives including bulb planting projects, improvements to public open space, the provision of summer planters and litter picks and clean-ups.
  • Special Events Programme: the partnership organises several special events including Christmas festivities to increase awareness, footfall and spend in the town centre, as well as supporting community events including Brownhills Canal Festival.
  • Brownhills Shopping Guide: the first Brownhills Shopping Guide has recently been published and highlights the excellent range of shops and services available in Brownhills Town Centre. Click here to view.
