Walsall Town Centre boasts over 300 retail stores from national retailers to independent businesses. It is not just home to retail, it offers a great mix of office and leisure uses, with a vibrant nightlife that mean over 400 businesses operate within Walsall Town Centre.
Attractions in the Town Centre include the New Art Gallery Walsall as well as both the Leather Museum and Walsall Museum and the Local History Centre. The Central Library and Walsall Gala Baths can be found near the Civic Centre. The Town Centre has a range of distinctive shopping quarters including Crown Wharf and Saddlers Centre, each with an exciting mix of independent stores and well known national brands, to offer something for everyone.
Investment confidence in the Town Centre has seen over £400 million in physical development over recent years and continues to grow. This includes a new £7 million development, led by Walsall Council, providing a new two storey store for Primark, with an adjoining new food store for Midcounties Co-operative. This marks the start of wider redevelopment of the Old Square Shopping Centre.
The £12 million Waterfront North Phase 1 development also completed in spring 2016, which is home to the multi-screen Light Cinema and accompanying restaurant and bar facilities, as part of the Waterfront leisure destination.
